Tuition Fees - 2015
These fee levels have been approved for 2015 by the Office of the Vice Chancellor, quoted in Malawi Kwacha

Payment of Fees
There are several ways to pay your fees. Self-funding students can pay tuition fees in one or two instalments. Please note that we reserve the right to refuse this concession to students with bad payment records.
Cash bank deposit
This is our preferred method. Pay your fees through the bank by depositing in the following account:

Remember to bring with you a bank deposit slip of your fees and swap it with an original receipt at the University’s Finance office.
Cash
We do not advise that students pay by cash, but if you want to pay by cash, you can pay at the
Finance Office (University campus). Indicate that you are paying cash when you register for classes.

Warning: Do not carry large sums of cash around with you.
To pay by credit card, you can enter the details safely and securely when you register online.

There is no commission charge for payments by credit card.

Payments must be made in one instalment only.

You must pay the full amount at registration.
Please note: we do not accept American Express or Diners Club Cards.
Cheques
If you want to pay by cheque, you can either send them to the University’s Finance Office in advance, or present them in person at one of the registration of face-to-face sessions.

Indicate that you are paying by cheque on the registration form.

Payment must be paid in one instalment or two installments only.

Cheques (not drafts) must be drawn on a Malawi bank account.
Please make cheques payable to "AUGCYD" and write your Name and Student Registration number on the back of the cheque.
Returned cheques
You will be charged MK15,000 for cheques that are returned from the bank unpaid.
If you want to pay by cheque or sterling travellers' cheques, you can either send them to the Cashier's Office (Wessex House 3.38) in advance, or present them in person at one of the registration sessions.

Indicate that you are paying by cheque or travellers' cheque when you register online.

Print out and send the online remittance slip, or bring it with you when you pay in person.

Payment must be paid in one instalment only.

Cheques (not drafts) must be drawn on a UK bank account.
Please make cheques payable to "University of Bath" and write your student or UCAS number on the back of the cheque.
Returned cheques
You will be charged £25 for cheques that are returned from the bank unpaid.
Bank transfer
If you want to pay by bank transfer, you will need to arrange this in plenty of time for the funds to reach our account by the start of the academic year/semester. You should allow at least ten working days.

Please remember to use your Name and Student Registration number as the reference for your bank transfer.
Please note: the bank may make a charge. Ask the bank how much you will be charged for the transaction and so please adjust the amount you transfer accordingly.
International bank transfer
We have partnered with Forex Department of National Bank of Malawi to allow international students to pay tuition fees by sending secure bank transfers in their local currency.
Payment must be paid in one instalment only.
The exchange rate should be very competitive, but we strongly recommend you compare the rate with other providers.
Please indicate that you are paying by international bank transfer when you register for classes. If you choose this option, you will be given necessary details to arrange the transfer.
