We offer flexible undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, delivered using a variety of teaching methods. We also offer a number of independent study courses, specifically designed for specific postgraduate degree programmes.

How Our Programmes Work

We offer the following programmes:

  • Diploma programme leading to Diploma in Guidance and Counselling award

  • Undergraduate degree programmes leading to Bachelor of Arts (BA)

  • Postgraduate degree programmes leading to Master of Arts awards and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) awards.

We have a variety of teaching methods, combining the traditional lecture with seminar teaching, team-based group projects, individual projects, supervised practicum, distance learning, e-learning and independent study.

The University is proud of its small group teaching methods, which help to develop analytical, presentation and communication skills. All of these are highly valued by employers.

Units of Study

Our programmes are modular, consisting of units (courses) taught and assessed within the same semester. As you progress through each semester and pass the examinations, you will receive credit for the units you have successfully completed. In this way, you will have a clear indication of your academic progress throughout your programme.

All our programmes are composed of core units with opportunities for independent study, giving you some flexibility and the opportunity to shape your studies to your developing interests.
